First-class holiday bargains: Stiftung Warentest ranks eBay at the top |
|
Berlin, 11 Oct 2012
Stiftung Warentest checked which Internet portals offer the biggest bargains for travel and vacation accommodations. Cultuzz Digital Media GmbH is delighted with the results, because eBay was quite clearly a winner.
The latest issue of “test“ by Stiftung Warentest (09/2012) contained the results of random samples taken in July/August 2012. Some of the bargains it looked at in detail were offered by TravelZoo, Ab-in-den-Urlaub.de, Traveliero and the discount portals Groupon and Dailydeal.
Stiftung Warentest had praise for the online auction website eBay and advised bargain hunters to check out its travel shop. Even stays in luxury-class hotels can often be found for half price through the site’s “Buy it now“ offers. Summary: eBay is a good choice for bargain hunters who are able to plan around availability. People who are not tied to specific dates and are willing to try their luck can save a lot of money in an eBay auction: it has several auctions for hotel stays and mini trips starting at just EUR 1.00.
As the world’s market leader in selling hotel vouchers on eBay, Cultuzz is also extremely happy with these results. With its full-service solution CultBay, Cultuzz is the only service provider in the world to offer direct bookings of hotel products as part of eBay‘s purchasing process. That is what made eBay a full-scale booking platform for travel services.
